It is currently WINTER in WESTEROS during the year 303 AC. The new moon cycle marks a full twenty years since the Mad King was murdered, and his son King Rhaegar ascended the Iron Throne in his place. Though the year is fresh, war in the Narrow Sea has left the Free Cities of Volantis and Tyrosh in ashes, and the Long Night continues to beckon from the Northern fringes of the Seven Kingdoms. With the Queen Lyanna presumed dead, the citizens of the realms look only to each other for survival.

Finally returned to Westeros and at last handed over into the King's custody, the halfman Tyrion Lannister will once and for all answer to his most devilish deeds. While interred into the black cells and kept under guard all hours of the day, he stands accused of the following crimes:
As due process commands, there have been seven judges selected to administer proper and legal justice to the accused. There will be no royal interference allowed, with the King and Queen permitted only as witnesses. The judges are as follows:
LADY CERSEI BARATHEON
LORD JON CONNINGTON
LORD RICKARD STARK
PRINCESS ARIANNE MARTELL
LORD PETYR BAELISH
LORD THOROS SWANN
The accused will first be called to defend his case, given as many days as he requires. The selected judges will use this time to call forth witnesses of their own choosing, and each may propose as much questioning and interrogation as they need. The formal investigation and deliberation will follow, with the verdict to be announced by an officially selected peer. At any time the defendant may evoke a trial of the Seven, in which both he and the judges must choose a champion to represent them in combat. May the Gods have mercy on your souls.
